Siembra: The sowing of seeds for growth—
We celebrate Colombian & Peruvian flavors rooted in the PNW. Powered by local farmers, organic ingredients, chefs, and community.
Siembra started as an underground pop-up back in 2021, during pretty uncertain times. I started cooking from our home kitchen with my mom and close family friends. Before long, we were teaming up with restaurants, wineries, breweries, and all kinds of people who shared the love of good food and bringing people together with intention. We’ve cooked in parking lots, farmer's markets, dive bars, fancy kitchens, backyards, and rooftops — anywhere we could share a meal and a story. We also cooked to support hunger relief orgs. through mutual aid, continued today through grants.
Along the way, we’ve been lucky to get love from places like Conde Nast Traveler, Eater Seattle, The Infatuation, The Stranger, the City of Seattle, and Slow Food.
Our main goal is simple: cook food that feels good — for people and for the planet.
These days, you can catch us at pop-ups and events around Seattle. Stay tuned for more places to find our arepas in 2025...
